The Roads and Transport Authority in Sharjah (RTAS) plans to partially close the intersection of Sheikh Humaid Bin Saqr Al Qasimi bridge for traffic coming from Wahda Street towards the direction of Al Dhaid Street.
The partial closure will be implemented for three days starting on April 23-26, from 9am until 5am.
RTAs is carrying out partial closure of the bridge intersection in cooperation with the General Directorate of Sharjah Police.
Shutdown is due to necessary maintenance work of the bridge, which is necessary for its efficiency.
Maintenance work is also necessary for safety of the motorists, pedestrians and to avoid dangerous accidents and injuries.
The RTA also aims to increase the strength of the bridge and reinforce its ability to carry heavy loads.
RTAs urges bridge users to take caution while driving and follow traffic rules.
Drivers suggested to use alternative routes to avoid congestion and traffic jams due to the maintenance work.
