An angry wife who said she was tired of being ignored by her husband, ripped off his testicles after he forgot to give her flowers to celebrate International Women's day, and also refused to help her with some house chores.
Ionel Popa, 39, from Dragomiresti in Romania was rushed to the emergency room with his scrotum torn open after his wife grabbed his testicles and yanked them hard.
Marinela Benea was unrepentant after the attack, saying she obviously did not know her own strength but maintained that her husband deserved what happened to him.
Paramedic said:
"The man had a severe open wound on his scrotum. He told us his wife had attacked him because he did not give her flowers for International Woman's Day."Benea said she was fed up with being ignored by her husband :
"Ionel had been given a bottle of wine for a day’s work instead of getting paid, and had arrived home drunk. When he gets drunk, he changes.
"All night he made me keep the fire on because he was cold and I did it to avoid having an argument,"According to reports, the couple have been together for 15 years and have a 15-year-old son.
Ionel remains in hospital recovering from his wounds in a stable condition whilst police investigate the attack.
