Patients feature an abnormal, red-brown macules on the face, neck, and body. Some cases feature lesions limited to only one extremity. Unfortunately, no serious treatment for EV has been found. Treatments have been suggested, though excisions tends to be the best option available. Epidermodysplasia Verruciformis, also known as tree man illness, is extremely rare and genetic.

Noma

A polymicrobial , rapidly progressive, often gangrenous disease of the genitals or mouth.

Lymphatic Filariasis

Treatment is available in some cases, including antibiotics to deal with infection. Lymphatic Filariasis, also known as elephantiasis, is caused from a parasitic worm. Cases of the disease have no symptoms at first, though individuals ultimately develop massive amounts of swelling in the arms, legs, or genitals. Skin becomes thicker, and pain can occur.

ParryRomberg Syndrome

This syndrome is highly prevalent in women, but it is documented that this syndrome is an extremely rare neurocutaneous syndrome. ParryRomberg syndrome, or progressive hemifacial atrophy, is described as the progressive shrinkage of tissues, usually on one side of the face.

Typically, symptoms appear before the age of 20. Those symptoms include skin and soft tissues on one half of the face beginning to shrink, leading to a non-symmetrical appearance for the victim. Severity varies between those who acquire the disease. Unfortunately, there are no known cures for PRS. Parry-Romberg Syndrome is an acquired disorder that medical doctors are unclear as to how a patient contracts the disease.

The condition caused her to lose 11 pounds (5 kilograms) over the course of several months, according to the case report, published in the New England Journal of Medicine in May.

Vampire-Syndrome

Porphyria is an incurable and inherited disease that causes not only blisters but also cramps and paralysis whenever the afflicted individual is exposed to sunlight. This shouldn’t be confused with polymorphic light eruption, however. The latter is actually a fairly common disorder afflicting approximately 15% of North Americans (mainly in the north) and only leads to mild rashes upon initial springtime exposure to sunlight. While there are people out there who crave blood, this is not the disorder we are addressing here.

Permanent Abrupt twisting motions caused by Flu-Shots

The most publicized case in recent history involved that of Desiree Jennings, the 25 year old girl who was aspiring to be a professional football cheerleader when she acquired the disease from a flu shot. Although she can’t walk forwards, stand in one spot, or talk normally while doing either of the two, she can walk backwards and even run during which her convulsions and strained speech temporarily revert to normal. A rare disorder, individuals suffer abrupt twisting motions whenever their muscles sustain any contraction.

Eye-disease hallucinations

A 67-year-old retired teacher in Kentucky was on the threshold of asking for an exorcism after she started seeing oblong faces with large teeth, eyes and ears hovering over her. The woman said she knew the hallucinations were not really there, and they didn’t speak to her. Doctors confirmed she wasn’t on drugs, and wasn’t losing her mind. In fact, the woman’s macular degeneration had triggered a peculiar condition called Charles Bonnet syndrome, which causes some people suffering from eye disease to start to see animals or other eerie delusion.

Cutaneous Horns

It is believed that exposure to radiation can trigger the condition cutaneous horns . The cause of cutaneous horns is still unknown. This is evidenced by a higher rate of cases occurring on the face and hands, areas that are often exposed to sunlight. . As with many other wart-like skin conditions, a link to the HPV virus family, especially the HPV-2 subtype has been suggested. Other cases have reported cutaneous horns arising from burn scars

In this condition symptoms resembling aspects of aging are manifested at a very early age. It’s an extremely rare genetic disorder.

No treatment has ever proved to be effective, unfortunately. Most treatments simply focus on reducing any problems those afflicted are experiencing instead. Progeria is incredibly rare, occurring in only 1 per 8 million births. The rare disorder resembles aspects of aging, and manifest at an early age. Skin changes, abnormal growth, and loss of hair are the most common symptoms of Progeria

Lamprey Disease

Thank goodness for this one being called out. Lamprey Disease was one of the most terrifying diseases said to be spreading among the human population. However, it was later revealed to be an email hoax that preyed on those who would be particularly grossed out by the idea of a body part being replaced by the mouth of a Lamprey.
