Eid Al Fitr 2016

Eid Al Fitr (Jordan, KSA, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, UAE)

Jordan
Subject to the declaration by the Government of Jordan, the Eid Al Fitr holiday will start on Tuesday 5th July until Friday 8th July.
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Subject to the declaration by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Eid Al Fitr holiday will start on Sunday 3rd July until Thursday 7th July and all Government sectors will be closed during this time.
Kuwait
Subject to the declaration by the Government of Kuwait, the Eid Al Fitr holiday will start on Tuesday 5th July until Friday 8th July.
Lebanon
Employees in Lebanon are entitled to two days' holiday starting from the first day of Eid Al Fitr and if announced by the Government, the holiday may be extended by one day. If Eid falls on Tuesday 5th July, businesses and offices will resume work on Thursday 7th July, and if extended, work will resume on Friday 8th July. If Eid falls on Wednesday 6th July, businesses and offices will resume work on Friday 10th July, and if extended, work will resume on Monday 11th July.
Oman
According to the Government of Sultanate of Oman, the Eid Al Fitr holiday will start on Tuesday 5th July until Thursday 7th July.
Qatar
If Eid falls on Tuesday 5th July, businesses and offices will be closed from Tuesday 5th July until Saturday 9th July and will revert to normal working hours on Sunday 10th July and if Eid falls on Wednesday 6th July, businesses and offices will be closed from Wednesday 6th July until Sunday 10th July.
UAE
Employees in the UAE are entitled to two days' holiday starting from the first day of Eid Al Fitr. If Eid falls on Tuesday 5th July, businesses and offices will resume work on Thursday 7th July, and if Eid falls on Wednesday 6th July, businesses and offices will be closed from Wednesday 6th July until Saturday 9th July.
For employees working on a shift schedule or in customer service, if the holiday coincides with a non-working day, they shall be compensated as a day in lieu in line with Labour Law in each respective country and company policy.
