Gitex Shopper Bumper Deals Day 3: Laptops for Dh999 or less
Second day of Shopper reveals more steals for bargain buyers

Laptops for Dh999 or less created much frenzy on the second day of the Gitex Shopper Spring edition, which runs until April 4 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Several retailers slashed prices and bundled up the laptop deals across major computer brands, including Acer, Asus, HP, to name few.

Gaurav Singh, a salesperson with Acer said: “We have sold 12 pieces in an hour for our convertible laptop, which is selling for Dh999. And it’s not just students that appeared to be snapping up such purchases.

“People said they were stocking up for the summer, when they return home for the holidays with gifts for the family.”

At Sharaf DG, the Acer Switch Convertible laptop, which splits into a tablet, is selling at Dh999, which is bundled with one year MS Office, McAfee internet security and a Manchester City Bluetooth headset.

Similarly, the Asus X200 laptop, also at the same retailer, is selling for Dh799, which is bundled with internet security.

Meanwhile, PlugIns has the newly launched HP Stream Notebook, with a 11.6-inch screen touch for Dh699, which comes with the Microsoft Office 365 and a 1TB cloud subscription for a year.

Jacky’s Electronics has a deal going on Dell Notebooks, which if purchased at the cost of Dh699 to Dh1,000, will be bundled with a wireless mouse, antivirus and a case.

Karthik Mehta, who purchased a Toshiba Satellite C55 for Dh1399, said: “I had come to Gitex with the mind to buy a laptop to fit a budget of Dh1500. I thought it would be an Intel Celeron or an AMD processor, but I got the i3 with internet security for a very good price, so I picked this.”
