Final Decision? What “Denied with Finality” Means in the Case of VP Sara

Final Decision? What “Denied with Finality” Means in the Case of VP Sara

The Supreme Court released an important ruling after denying the motion for reconsideration related to the impeachment issue against Sara Duterte. According to the report of UNTV News and Rescue, the petition was denied with finality, which means no further appeal can be filed on the same matter under the current legal process.

In legal terms, denied with finality is used when the Supreme Court decides that the case is already closed and the same motion cannot be filed again. This usually happens when the Court finds no new arguments or valid reasons to change its previous decision.

The issue is connected to the interpretation of Article XI of the Constitution, which deals with the impeachment of high-ranking government officials. Because of this, the case became a major topic of discussion regarding legal procedure, the authority of Congress, and the role of the Supreme Court in impeachment cases.

For some, the ruling shows that the rule of law is being followed. For others, the issue remains political and will continue to be debated by the public.

For now, one thing is clear —

the issue is not only legal, but also political, and it has a strong impact on public opinion.

DID YOU KIDNAP TATAY DIGONG?

DID YOU KIDNAP TATAY DIGONG?

DID THE GOVERNMENT SURRENDER HIM TO THE ICC?

A major controversy is erupting after DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla admitted that the Office of the President chartered the Gulfstream 550 that flew former President Rodrigo Duterte straight to the Netherlands to be surrendered to the International Tribunal.

In the interview with Karen Davila, it was confirmed:

“YES. IT WAS US… We surrendered him to the International Tribunal.”

Now Filipinos are asking:

👉 Why did our own government hand over its own citizen?

👉 Where is due process?

👉 Why was this not disclosed to the public?

Millions of Filipinos are calling for justice, transparency, and accountability.

A former President should not be treated this way

“YES. IT WAS US… We surrendered him to the International Tribunal.”
