According to the Vice President, the property in question does not belong to her, contradicting the information allegedly presented by the agency.

The controversy stems from statements made by NBI Director Melvin Matibag regarding alleged significant discrepancies between the declared values of certain properties and the preliminary assessments conducted by investigators.

Among the properties mentioned was one reportedly declared at ₱890,000 but estimated to have a possible actual value of ₱61 million. Another property was described as agricultural land allegedly containing a mansion, swimming pools, and a helipad.

However, VP Sara questioned these claims and maintained that the lot shown in the photograph was not hers.

Duterte also expressed concern over the use of taxpayers’ money for investigations that, according to her, should have clear legal and factual foundations.

She further linked the controversy to the alleged removal of the NBI from the prosecution’s list of witnesses in her impeachment proceedings.

The Vice President also referred to the affidavit of former police officer Rodulfo Gracioso Jr., which contained allegations involving the supposed delivery of money to the Duterte family.

She questioned the credibility of the evidence presented and raised concerns about the reliability of such allegations.

An emotional father-and-son conversation was shared by Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte after he acknowledged the possibility of being imprisoned and never returning to his hometown.

A FATHER PREPARING HIS SON FOR AN UNCERTAIN FUTURE

It is never easy for a father to tell his child that there may come a time when he will no longer be able to return home.

This was the deeply personal message shared by Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte as he recalled a serious conversation with his eldest son before leaving Davao City.

According to the mayor, he explained to his son that he might face imprisonment and might never return to their hometown. However, before anything unexpected happens, he wanted his child to hear his side of the story directly from him.

“I might go to prison and then I might not come back to Davao. So, you just have to know that I did nothing wrong.”

Through these words, Mayor Baste expressed his firm belief that he had done nothing wrong, despite the possible challenges awaiting him.

“THEY CANNOT SCARE US. IT’S IMPOSSIBLE.”

If allegations are raised against any government official, they should be investigated fairly, impartially, and based on credible evidence.

The law should never become an instrument of political revenge. At the same time, political power and popularity should never serve as protection against accountability.

Ultimately, truth and justice must prevail — not fear, political influence, or personal interests.

A father may be a public official, a political leader, or a controversial figure, but he is still a parent who wants his children to understand his side of the story.

And sometimes, the most difficult conversations are not delivered before a crowd or inside a government institution.

They happen privately, between a father and his child.

Kapag nakakakita tayo ng kakaibang simbolo o tattoo, natural lang na mapaisip kung mayroon ba itong mas malalim na kahulugan o pinagmulan. Isa sa mga simbolong pinag-uusapan ngayon ay ang 𒈗 — LUGAL, isang tunay na salita at cuneiform sign mula sa sinaunang Mesopotamia.

Ano ang ibig sabihin ng “LUGAL”?

Sa wikang Sumerian, ang LUGAL (𒈗) ay karaniwang nangangahulugang “king” o “hari.” Ginamit ito sa mga sinaunang inskripsiyon bilang titulo para sa mga pinuno.

When we see an unusual symbol or tattoo, it’s natural to wonder whether it has a deeper meaning or historical origin. One symbol being discussed is 𒈗 — LUGAL, a genuine word and cuneiform sign from ancient Mesopotamia.

What Does “LUGAL” Mean?

In the Sumerian language, LUGAL (𒈗) commonly means “king.” It appeared in ancient inscriptions as a title associated with rulers.

Cuneiform is one of the oldest known writing systems in human history. Instead of letters like those we use today, ancient Mesopotamians used wedge-shaped signs that were typically impressed into clay tablets and seals.

Who Was Lugal-ushumgal?

The story becomes even more interesting because Lugal also appears in the name Lugal-ushumgal, an ancient ruler associated with the city of Lagash during the period of the Akkadian Empire, more than 4,000 years ago.

Surviving seal impressions mention Lugal-ushumgal. In inscriptions, he is identified as an ensi, or governor of Lagash, and as a servant of Naram-Sin, one of the best-known rulers of the Akkadian Empire.

What About the Tattoo?

This is where interpretation requires caution.

If a modern tattoo resembles ancient cuneiform writing or imagery found on ancient seals, that does not automatically mean it has the same meaning or historical origin.

To establish a genuine connection, we would need to know the exact design, its source, and the intention of the person who chose the tattoo, then compare it carefully with reliable archaeological records.

For that reason, it is more accurate to describe it as a possible visual resemblance rather than claim that the tattoo has been proven to mean “Lugal” or that it directly represents Lugal-ushumgal.
