Royal Tiaras and the Stories Behind Them 3/14

Diana’s tiara occupies a special position on this list since it actually belonged to her family. The middle part of the tiara was given as a wedding present to Diana’s grandmother. The ends of the tiara are believed to have come from Frances Manby, the last known Viscountess of Montagu.
The look of the tiara was finalized in the 30s and it was used as a wedding tiara in the Spencer family. Although the Queen loaned Diana a tiara from her collection, Diana decided to continue a tradition from her own family.
