Japanese princess Mako started attending formal court at the age of twenty and was presented with special jewels suitable for these occasions.



his tiara was made for her by the Japanese firm Wako, and it has fleur-de-lis and floral motifs. When Mako’s wedding with her boyfriend goes through (it has been postponed until 2020), the tiara will be kept in imperial vaults. She will lose her title because of this marriage.
