Royal Tiaras and the Stories Behind Them 4/14

The Swedish crown princess wore a magnificent tiara on her wedding day: one with a rich history. 

It is one of the oldest still in use and is traditionally worn at the weddings of the Swedish royal family. The first owner of the tiara was Napoleon’s first wife, Josephine, and the tiara was brought to Sweden by her granddaughter when she married the future King Oscar I of Sweden and Norway.
