Royal Tiaras and the Stories Behind Them 2/14

The Cartier Halo Tiara, a finishing touch to the stunning image of Kate Middleton on her wedding day, was made in 1936. It was a present from the Duke of York (later King George VI) to the Duchess of York (Queen Elizabeth).

Later it was given as a gift to princess Elizabeth on her 18th birthday but was mostly worn by Princess Margaret and Princess Anne.
