Royal Tiaras and the Stories Behind Them 1/14

Royal tiaras are special for each house and are often passed from generation to generation. The largest and most valuable collection of tiaras belongs to Queen Elizabeth II. One tiara from this collection recently drew the world’s attention at the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. But other royal houses have some stunning jewels as well, which we are happy to present to you
 this article.

The diamond bandeau tiara worn by Meghan Markle on her wedding day was lent to her by the Queen. The tiara belonged to Queen Mary, the grandmother of the Queen. The brooch at the center dates back to 1893. The tiara was a gift to Queen Mary (Princess Victoria Mary of Teck, back then) from the county of Linkoln for her wedding.
