Royal Tiaras and the Stories Behind Them 12/14

This tiara was made for a British-German Princess who was a future Romanov Grand Duchess, around 1905. She was forced to flee the country during the Revolution. 



In 1921 the tiara was bought by Queen Marie of Romania as a present for her daughter in law, Princess Helen of Greece, who kept it until her death, even in exile. The tiara was inherited by Princess Anne who returned to Romania in 1993. Now it is mostly worn by her eldest daughter during foreign royal events.
